"Me and My Mom!": resenha literária de uma história em verso sobre o amor de mãe

"Me and My Mom!", de Amy Hall, foi-me cedido pelo Reading Deals Review Club, para que eu fizesse uma apreciação honesta deste livro. Não há de momento edição em português.

Publiquei a minha opinião no Goodreads com 4/5 estrelas e a seguinte "review":

This book is so sweet! This is a bedtime story a mother tells her small boy. It's about the unconditional love she feels for her little son. It can be seen as universally representing motherly love. It can touch all mothers and their children.

The rhyming text expresses well the extent of a mother's feelings and the images complement the greatness of the metaphors in the text.

The illustrations are of the unlimited night sky and of space, with rockets and bright stars, epic night landscapes, sparkling lakes with dolphins … The atmosphere is magic and cozy at the same time.

It's a book a mother will have great pleasure in reading to their children, to give them a hint of how infinite a mother's love is.

Children can fall asleep with the certainty of being loved.
